Discovery Life Course
Each level of Discovery builds upon the next giving you a solid “growth path” in your walk with the Lord. Here’s what you can expect to receive in each level:
Level One (10 sessions) - The Discovery One Life Class is designed to help you mature in your faith as you learn to establish a firm foundation for what you believe and why you believe it. You will discover how Jesus is the chief cornerstone of your faith – the Rock upon which everything else is built. Building a firm foundation of your faith in Christ will not only last you through eternity, but will help you face the challenges and storms of this life without fear or compromise. Lessons will cover:
- The first covers the basic doctrinesof your Christian faith. Every believer needs to know what they believe and why they believe it.
- Strengthening your family relationships through understanding God’s design for the family, and learning how to build a Christian life and home through: effective communication, achieving true intimacy, managing finances, and resolving conflicts God’s way.
Level Two (10 sessions) - In Discovery 2 you will be empowered and encouraged to see how God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things for Him. God’s Word will come alive as you discover God’s plan for building His Kingdom.
- First, you will learn how to believe God for those around you who are “yet to believe” and how to get actively involved in the process of sharing Christ.
- Second, you will receive the tools you need to share your faith with others effectively and how to win them to the Lord.
Level Three (3 parts) - In Discovery 3, you will be equipped and empowered to truly be a disciple that makes other disciples! In “reaching the summit” you are now coming to a new level of growth and maturity in your walk with the Lord.
- Part One (10 weeks): You will learn the principles of Christ-centered leadership that will equip you to disciple others. You will discover your unique spiritual gifts, how to allow the Holy Spirit to work through you, and how to effectively communicate the Gospel.
- Part Two (6 weeks): Focuses on the workings of the Holy Spirit through you in altar ministry which includes: leading someone to salvation, praying for the sick, the laying on of hands, and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
- Part Three (6 weeks): Imparts the vision of FCC LifeGroups, with a concentration on LifeGroup leadership, and equipping students in an understanding of small group ministry, protocol, group dynamics, and group participation.
