Our Principles

Ministry Philosophy and Guiding Principles

By knowing & understanding our ministry philosophy, values, and guiding principles, we will be better able to determine:
  • Our Scope of Ministry - this speaks to our vision & reach
  • Our Experience in Light of our Message - this speaks to our consistency
  • Our Programs in Light of our Vision - this speaks to meeting needs according to vision not program popularity
  • Our Balance and Focus on Essentials - this speaks to what is primary & what is secondary
  • Our Development of Future Ministries - this speaks to having clear & intended purpose & outcomes for ministries
Our ministry philosophy is why we do, what we do!

We have developed 12 guiding principles and values for our church that help define who we are.

It's About Jesus

1. We believe the Church is the hope of the world ... a place where we not only learn about Jesus but also experience Jesus. (Is 2:3, Col 3:16, Heb 10:21-25)

The CEO

2. We are passionate about God’s Word having final authority in life and ministry. (Jn 1:1, Ps 33:6, Ps 119:89, Is 40:8)

Looking Up

3. Our devotion to prayer and worship is intentional, inviting the presence of God to abide with us. (1 Chron 16:11, Matt 7:7, Phil 4:6, James 5:13-16, 2 Chron 5:13, Ps 5:7, Ps 29:2, Jn 4:24)

It's About the Holy Spirit

4. We stand in awe of His power knowing that true empowerment for living cannot be achieved apart from the baptism of the Holy Spirit and developing a spirit-formed life. (Acts 1:8, Titus 3:5)

Looking In

5. We realize ministry flows out of being and not just programs therefore, the quality and reach of our ministry is directly related to the depth of our own personal character. (Prov 4:23, Ps 15

reaching Out

6. As a church, we are moved with compassion for our community to experience the freedom that can only be found in Christ. (Matt 28:19-20, Acts 1:8)

It's About gOD

7. As Creator and Sustainer of all things visible and invisible, God is almighty, all knowing, all loving, and honored as our Heavenly Father whose redeeming grace provides salvation and restoration for all. (John 1:3, 14:16, 21, 26; 16:12-15; 20:30-31; Rom. 1:20; Col. 1:16-17; 1 Tim. 1:17, 2:3-6; Titus 2:11; Heb. 1:1-3; 1 John 4:15-16; Rev. 1:8)

The Invitation

8. We are eager for people to experience God's forgiveness therefore, we are careful to allow His Spirit to create the proper context for that to occur. (Eph 2:19-22, Ps 22:3)

the Dynamic Duo

9. We are excited that church celebration will be Word driven and Spirit led. (1 Thess 2:13, 2 Tim 3:16, Jn 16:13)

It's About People

10. We believe every person is valuable and gifted by God to minister and serve others, therefore it is vital that people discover and develop their gifts and are released to do what they have been empowered to do. (Eph 4:11-16, 1 Cor 12)

The Commission

11. As a church we take pleasure in fulfilling our commission in making disciples who know how to make disciples. (Matt 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-20

the Mission

12. We are grateful that God would co-labor with us transforming individuals and families through the gospel into empowered followers of Christ. (Mk 16:15, Jn 3:16, Luke 19:10, Matt 28:18-20, 2 Tim 3:16-17, Mk 16:17-20, Jn 14:12, Acts 4:33, Acts 6:8, Is 54:2-3, 1 Chron 4:10, 1 Cor 7:17, 1 Cor 14:40, Titus 1:5
