What to Expect

Each week at Faith Community Church you will experience dynamic worship coupled with a message that is engaging and practical. Our desire is to help you develop a meaningful relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ as we grow together in greater understanding of His word.

When entering the building you will notice our Welcome Center where you will be greeted and can find additional information about Faith Community Church. As a first time guest, please pick up your complimentary coffee card redeemable at our café… coffee is on us. If you have children, we have something for them as well.

We are a multi-cultural congregation celebrating our diversity as we unite together in lifting up the name of Jesus. We believe Church should be a place where we not only learn about God, but also experience His presence. We would be honored if you would join us this weekend and experience God together with a loving community of people who are passionate about their faith.

Do You Provide Ministries for Students and Children?

Your children are important to us. Each week at Faith Community Kids our dedicated teachers and assistants seek to create a safe and friendly environment where kids learn from God’s Word, pray, share with one another, and have fun. Our desire is to lead children to a personal knowledge of Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Faith Community Kids offers Children’s Church every Sunday @ 11:00am for toddlers thru 12 years old. Sign-in begins 10:30am. 

Every Sunday our students enjoy the same worship experience provided for them in the main service. There are other ministries available for our students throughout the week. Click here to find out more.

What Should I Wear?

Whether dressed up or dressed down, we want you to come as you are and be comfortable.

Should I Bring my Bible?

We encourage you to bring your Bible in whatever format is most comfortable for you. Many who join us for service read the scriptures from their mobile device. We also display important points and scriptures on the overhead monitors.

What Version of the Bible Do You Use?  

Pastor Gary primarily uses the English Standard Version (ESV) of the scriptures when teaching and preaching. He resonates with its translation philosophy, its accuracy and style, and thinks it does the best job of being readable and is as close to the original language as possible. He will also refer to other translations during his messages from time to time.  

How Long is the Worship Service?

You can expect our worship service each week to be approximately 75 to 90 minutes. There is always ample time to experience the presence of God and receive a relevant message for you and your family.

Is There Ample Parking?

Street parking is available on Winthrop Place. Additional parking is also available on Sunday morning across the street at Northfield Bank, 1731 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10314.
